Submittal documents for the above referenced project have been reviewed for
conformance with the applicable 1996 Oregon Specialty Codes and other applicable
codes and standards. The following comments are noted:

1. Provide a key box (Knox) mounted to the exterior wall 10' above finish grade and
adjacent to the right side of the main entry door. The box shall contain keys to
gain access as required by the Fire Marshal [UFC 902.4]. If you have any
questions regarding this requirement, please contact the Fire Marshal at 526-
2502.
2. All rack storage shall be anchored to resist lateral seismic force. Provide a
design for attachment, prepared by an engineer or architect licensed in the State
of Oregon, using the formula set forth in the Oregon Structural Specialty Code
[OSSC, Section 1630.2].
3. Provide Type 2 -A fire extinguishers throughout so that the travel distance to an
extinguisher does not exceed 75 feet [UFC Std. 10 -1 3.2.1].
4. A trash dumpster with a capacity of 1.5 cubic yards or greater shall not be
located under or within 5' of combustible construction [UFC, Section 1103.2.2].

5. No building shall be constructed, altered, enlarged, moved or repaired in a
manner that by reason of size, type of construction, number of stones,
occupancy, or any combination thereof, creates a need for a fire flow in excess
of 3,000 gallons per minute at 20 psi residual or exceeds the available fire flow at
the site of the structure [UFC, Section 903.3].
A. Provide Fire Flow Testing pursuant to NFPA 291 using the enclosed
"Hydrant Flow Test Report Form."
B. Complete the enclosed "Fire Flow Work Sheet" and forward to Tualatin
Valley Fire and Rescue, 4755 SW Griffith Dr. (P.O. Box 4755) Beaverton,
OR 97076 (Ph. 526 - 2469), and return a copy to the City of Tigard, attn.
Plans Examiner.
Notel These documents shall be on file before a building permit will be issued.
1. Please provide an original copy of the Lateral Analysis, sheet L1 through L16.
The cover sheet shall bear a wetseal by an engineer licensed in the State of
Oregon, with each subsequent page initialed by same.
2. The attachment of permanent equipment (HVAC) supported by the building's
structural components shall be designed to resist the total design seismic forces
prescribed in Section 1603.2 of the Structural Specialty Code.
A. Provide an engineer's design specifying attachment requirements
[OSSC, Section 106.3.2 and OMSC, Section 304.4].

1. OSSC, Section 1202.2.1 requires a continual flow of outside air. Your plans
indicate the installation of economizers. Please explain how you will override the
shutdown and still provide a continual flow.
2. OMSC, Section 608 requires systems supplying air in excess of 2000 cfm, be
equipped with an automatic shutoff. Drawing M1 - Note 10 indicates the
responsibility has been delegated to your electrical contractor. The purpose of
this statement is to advise you that the system shall be tested for compliance
under the mechanical permit.

4. The exhaust and makeup air systems shall be interconnected by an electrical
interlocking switch [OMSC, Section 402.4].
