The following was noted:
The primary purpose of this site visit was to work out a method of assembling the
reinforcing cages and panel footing embeds. This is a fairly congested area with the
panel embed anchors lapping the vertical column reinforcing. The following steps were
mutually worked out to make the panels constructable without sacrificing any structural
integrity. The embed anchorage does not have to fall within the column tie area. It is
acceptable for the anchorage bars to be outside of the tied cage as long as the embed is
reasonably centered on the column. The tie spacing will begin approximately 16- inches
from the bottom of the column to allow embed anchorage to be lapped with the vertical
column reinforcing. The embed angles themselves are sufficient to confine the
reinforcing in this area.
