Summary Completion Report
Tigard Triangle Project
Southeast 69th and Dartmouth
Tigard, Oregon
File No. 4217 -013-01
GeoEnginccrs has provided on-call geoteclmicat monitoring and testing services during
construction of the Tigard Triangle Project This letter summarizes our observations and testing
for the building foundation and associated site work. Geofingineera prepared a geotechaical
engineering report for this site titled "Report of Geoteclmical Engineering Services, Proposed
Tigard Triangle Development, Tigard, Oregon," dated May 8,1998.
A GeoEngineers representative observed stripping, subgrade preparation, and excavation for
the building between May 21, 1999 and June 14, 1999. The subgrade was proofiolled using
heavy construction equipment Based on our observations, the native soils containing vegetation
and roots were stripped and the building and paxidng area subgrades were prepared in accordance
with the project specifications and the recommendations in ow geotechnieal report.
A GeoFngineers representative observed placement and compaction of struetural fill to raise
site grades. Placed and compacted fill was 1 to 2 feet thick in the southeast portion of the site and
up to 18 feet in the northwest portion of the site. A GooEngineers representative observed
material types and conducted nuclear density testing and/or observed proofrof of in -place
material. GeoEngineers reviewed settlement data provided by Baugh Construction for the fill
placed in building areas. Based on our observations, the fill was placed and compacted in
accordance with project requirements and recommendations.
A eoEnginee s representative performed in place nuclear density tests on crushed rock base
placed beneath the floor slab, and in utility trenches. Areas where the test results indicated
inadequate relative compaction were generally reworked and =compacted. Based on ow testing
and observations, the subgrade and base rock hi the building pads were prepared in accordance
with project plans and specifications and the recommendations in ow geotechnical report
