Submittal documents for the above referenced project have been reviewed for conformance with
the applicable 1998 Oregon Specialty Codes and other applicable codes and standards. The
following comments. are noted:

1. Drawing A0.2 — Your plans indicate exits 1066 and 117B are not accessible. Your
explanation states that OSSC, Section 1106.2.4, Exception 1 applies.

I disagree. Section 1106.2.4 has nothing to do with ADA requirements pertaining to 106B
and 117B. OSSC, Section 1102 "Accessible Exit" applies, and the code requires all exits
•
be accessible, and connected to an accessible route.
In previous discussions with your firm, the city agreed on Building A, that an area of
rescue assistance as an alternate for exit 117B. The reasoning for approving this
• altemate was for grade problems not created by your client.
Revise your drawings accordingly.
