Submittal documents for the above referenced project have been reviewed for
conformance with the applicable 1996 Oregon Specialty Codes and other applicable
codes and standards. The following comments are noted:
V Provide current plans for the first floor fire alarm system reflecting tenant space
modifications.
2. Regarding the FM -200 system, provide the following:
47 Correct device numbering south comer of expansion area, sheet 7.
Appears duplication of numbers beyond 2BB-4 and 2AA-4.
L) What types of initiating devices (detectors) are used in the FM -200
system?
Appears initiating devices in room Network Communication Equipment
need balancing to cover west area better.
What is the allowable unclosable area in FM -200 protected areas?
f1" :Provide a positive and negative test of each area and submit
V results.
y A building inspector must witness all activation tests, manual pull
stations, abort override devices, smoke dampers in mechanical
system, puff test, etc.
Audible alarms shall produce a distinct sound level not less than 5 dBa over ambient
noise level in all spaces of the building. Provide test results.

&Sheet 9 and 11 show FM -200 agent and tank concentrated. The combined weight of
those tanks illustrated is 3212 pounds bearing on 10.56 square feet. Provide a
structural engineer review.
