The additional TX lines, run on the interior of the pole, have been included as well. The antenna change out that is proposed for this cellular site can be adequately supported by the existing monopole. The existinq foundation has also been found sufficient. The 100' (94' actual) eighteen -sided Sabre monopole was analyzed for two loading conditions: 100% wind and 75% wind plus %2" of radial ice. Wind loads were determined using a fastest mile wind speed of 80 mph, which was verified by a Washington County building official and the TIA/EIA standard. Our analysis included loads from the following appurtenances: RAD Centers: At elevation 94' — Unkown existing: - 13.42' Platform w/ rails - (3) ALP9212 At elevation 79' — Cingular: -13' LP platform w/o handrail (existing) - (2) TA803R90 (existing) - (2) TA803TOR60 (existing) - (2) Kathrein 800 -10121 (proposed) -(2) Kathrein 742 -264 (proposed) This analysis is invalid if any other equipment is attached to the monopole or its foundation. In such a case, a separate, supplemental structural analysis will be necessary. The existing foundation is a mat foundation 17' x 17' x 2' -6" deep with a pier extension 5' - in diameter and 3' deep. The design concrete strength was 4,000 psi. Our analysis showed that the existing 100 - foot (94' actual) monopole is structurally adequate with the above appurtenances and loading criteria. The foundation and anchor bolts are structurally adequate as well. Installation of Bolts: Bolts for towers and ontennos shall be installed with the nuts toting to the outside and /or to the top of the tower, unless prohibited by lock of clearance. 2. Tightening of Bolts: (Based on Specificotion for Structurol Joints Using ASTM A325 or A490 bolts) a. Sheor/Beoring Connections: Bolts in connections not subject to tension loads (such os bracing bolts and most antenno mount bolts) shall be instolled in properly aligned holes, but need only be tightened to the snug tight condition. The snug tight condition is defined as the tightness thot exists when all plies in o joint are in firm contoct. This may be attained by o few impacts of an . impact wrench or the full effort of a mon using on ordinary spud wrench. b. Direct Tension Connections: Connections subject to direct tension (such os leg splice bolts) shall be installed in properly aligned holes and tightened by the turn —of— the —nut tightening method. Turn —of —nut Tightening Method: Bolts shall be installed in all holes of the connection and brought to o snug —tight condition (defined obove). Following this initial operotion, all bolts in the connection shall be tightened further by the following amount of rotation. For bolt length up to and including 4 diometers: 1/3 turn For bolt length over 4 diameters but less than 8 diameters: 1/2 turn For bolt length over 8 diameters but not exceeding 12 diameters: 2/3 turn 3.
