Permittee shall take reasonable precautions which in the judgment of the forester are necessary in the use of fire and to prevent the spread of fire on or from an operation. 2. Permittee shall designate a representative authorized to act on all matters having to do with fire control, which rep- resentative shall be available at all times by direct means of communication with the forester. 3. Permit shall be posted at a conspicuous place at the headquarters of the operation. 4. Permittee operating west of the summit of the Cascade Mountains and including all of Hood River County, shall close down any part or all of the operation during any day, or part thereof, or any period of time when, in the judgment of the for - ester, the area covered by this permit is extremely susceptible to damage by fire due to low humidity, high wind or tempera- ture or due to the existence thereon of an excessive amount of inflammable debris or due to a combination of any such condi- tions, and the permittee is so notified. 5. Permittee operating west of the summit of the Cascade Mountains and including all of Hood River County, shall fur- nish and maintain such weather instruments as the forester may prescribe as adequate in his judgment to indicate fire hazard conditions. This permit to operate power driven machinery shall be suspended or revoked because of: (1) Violation of the terms thereof; or (2) Noncompliance with the Forest Laws of the State of Oregon. PROVISIONS OF PERMIT TO HARVEST TIMBER FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES 1. That both the operator and landowner shall comply with such rules and regulations as may be promulgated by the State Forester and approved by the State Board of Forestry, within the limits of the stated requirements of ORS 527.080 and 527.090, and shall in any event either leave reserve trees of commercial species deemed adequate by the State Board of For- estry under normal conditions to maintain continuous forest growth or provide adequate stocking to insure future forest growth. 2. That in the conduct of logging operations and prior to and during slash disposal by burning as required by ORS 477.244, it shall be the duty of every operator and landowner to take proper action and to use every reasonable effort to protect residual stands and trees left uncut as a source of seed supply. The City of Tigard requires any person operating a business (completely or in part) from their home to apply for and obtain a Home Occupation Permit (ORD. 83 -52). Enclosed is an application form for a Home Occupation Permit as well as Chapter 18.142 of the Tigard Community Development Code which discusses such uses.
