NOTE: ` /
This memo is to inform you of my recommendation for the installation of the
holdown anchors. It is my understanding the HD8A holdowns have not been
installed in the proper locations. I have reviewed the design uplift and determined
the locations that have been offset below the windows are too far from the shear
panel locations to allow for solid blocking and through bolts. I recommend
installing new anchor bolts with Simpson SET epoxy per our detail R4.
If you have any questions please give me a call.

NOTE:
This memo is to inform you of my recommendation for the support of the truss
joist roof trusses. It is my understanding the trusses have been madc 5" too short
due to the revised wall construction. I have spoken with Kathy Olson at Trus Joist
and she informed me the required bearing is only 2 -1/4 ".
I recommend adding a 3x10 ledger at the double top plate with (3) three ''Y:" lag
bolts at 16" centers a minimum of 4" into the studs. The holes should be predrilled •
to avoid splitting the studs.
If you have any questions please give me a call.
