John, thank you for meeting with Dan and I last week. Below I have summarized the main points of our
discussion:
1. The existing public hydrants hydrants are acceptable to serve the building and parking structure. The
hydrants within 600 feet of the buildings are located at the northeast comer of Clinton and 68th, at the
southwest comer of Clinton and 67th, approximately 200 feet north on the east side of 67th, at the
southeast corner of Baylor and 67th, and on both sides of 68th at Baylor.
2. Apparatus access to Building One and to the parking structure (Building Two) are acceptable.
3. A dry stand pipe system is required for the parking structure. Ports are to be placed near the northwest
and southeast corners of the structures.
4. Both the building FDC and the parking FDC are to be located near the existing public hydrant on the
south side of Clinton at 67th. Each FDC is to have "Auto Sprinkler" cast into the top of the fitting for
Building One and "Standpipe" cast into the top of the fitting for the parking structure.
Please let me know if I have missed or incorrectly stated anything. A .pdf of the site utility plan we looked
at, the fire flow work sheets, and the results of the hydrant flows from 1999 and 2001 are attached. Thank
you again for your help.
