OR 97224 As requested , below are the guidlines for the torque test on the 1/2" Hiiti Kwik Bolt TZ Wedge (ICC ESR -1917) anchorage for the above project: General: Subject to the acceptance of the building official, anchors that were to be installed under the supervision of a Deputy Inspector and were not, or poorly installed anchors. may be tested by a testing lab to qualify for special inspection values. Anchor: - Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ Wedge Anchor (ICC ESR- 1 1/2 "0 x 3 -1/2" min. embedment, installation torque = 40 FT -LBS (there may be a torque release for previously installed anchors of 5 - 10 %) Procedure: Starting at any selected mw. 20% of the anchors installed in that row shall be tested. if the anchors test positive without failure, the procedure can be repeated at the next row, with only 10% of the anchors to be tested. The success of the second row will lead to 5% of the remaining rows. in case an anchor failure occurs in a row, it is to be replaced and the remaining anchors are to be tested at a percenrage that is twice that used at the start of that row. For example: Starting at row #4, if 20% of the anchors are to be tested, and no failure occurs, proceed to row #5 at 10% of the anchors to be tested.
