I understand that you are seeking a written statement from TriMet explaining that Obie
Media (a provider of bus stop advertising benches) continues to place and site advertising
benches on public rights of way at key bus stops within the TriMet service district.
Benches may be considered at stops lacking amenities if in a safe location.
I will confirm that Obie Media has a professional, cooperative, and cordial relationship
with TriMet and abides by all required placement and location guidelines and standards.
Obie Media is careful to site ad benches where:
• Placement does not compromise safety (i.e. too close to the street, causes a tripping
hazard, etc.).
• Placement does not compromise accessibility (bench partially blocks the sidewalk,
infringes on the ADA or rear landing pad, etc.).
I am confident that Obie will operate with due diligence and maintain full compliance with
State requirements and standards.
