Dear Mr. MILLER
I have been asked by GTE Northwest Inc. to acquire
a 5' strip of land easement from you for the purpose
of installing underground cable .
This easement will not have any equipment above ground
level there will possibly be one man hole to excess there
equipment if necessary. There will be one pedestal.
It is my responsibility to negotiate with the prop-
erty owner as.to the exact location and also the fair
market value for that line. I've been working on these
projects for GTE for seven years and have found them to
be excellent neighbors and to be very accommodating.
I'm enclosing two copies of a letter of intent. One
copy is for your files and the other needs to be signed by
you and returned to me so that I may order the survey.
Please feel free'to give me a call to answer any of
your questions .

TENTATIVE DESCRIPTION: 5 ' ADJACENT TO THE ROAD RIGHT OF WAY
ON BURNHAM STREET STARTING AT THE S.W.CORNER
OF T2S, R1W, SECTION 2AD TAX LOT 2000 THENCE
S.E. APPROX. 480'+/- TO HALL BLVD.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON

It is the intent of GTE Northwest Incorporated to acquire a perpetual
easement of 5' of land adjacent to the road right-of-way for the purpose of
installing undergound telephone equipment etc.
The GRANTEE shall have the right to install, inspect and maintain all
of the facilities necessary to provide communication service, power
service, and other related services location on said easement, including
the trimming, or removal of any brush, trees, shrubs, structures, or
objects that may interfere with the construction, maintenance, and
operation of service.
The easement shall be legally described and staked by a licensed
surveyor at the sole cost and expense of the GRANTEE.
As consideration for this easement, the GRANTEE shall pay a one time
lump sum, in the amount of $200.00 to the GRANTOR upon the execution of the
final easement agreement, which shall be prepared by the legal department
of the GRANTEE. The GRANTEE agrees to restore the area after completion
of its equipment installation.
It is hereby understood that this letter of intent shall become null
and void at the time the easement is signed by all parties. The Project
Engineer reserves the right to approve the final site prior to signing the
final easement.
It is further understood that Ed Frank of Oregon Realty Company is
representing the GRANTEE.
