Box 23557 Tigard, Oregon 97223 Dear Mr. Telfer: Previous discussions between you- and this office arranged for the installation of fire pre-emption equipment on the traffic signals at the intersection. of Pacific Highway West and Johnson Street in Tigard. The City was to- pay all of the cost of such equipment; which at that time was estimated to be about $1 , 200 . 00:. We now have a quote from the contractor of $2 ,895 . 00 . We have checked this estimate and find that, for the control equip- ment to be installed, this is the cost quoted by the manufacturer . Because of the increase in cost, it was felt that we should obtain the decision of the City before ordering the equipment installed. Very truly yours , George M.
