Hi Diane and Chuck,
Thank you for your email and for following up with your concerns.
The reported property owners responded to your code compliance request regarding their property. They provided
evidence demonstrating compliance and subsequently entered into the land use approval process with Planning in order
to obtain an upgraded Home Occupation Permit.
While I cannot speak to or confirm rumors or speculation, please note that all communication with the City regarding
code compliance requests and land use decisions involving authorization of businesses in residential areas is a matter of
public record, subject to Oregon Public Records Law. This means someone could potentially obtain information through
a public records request. You may request any related records at the following link: Public Records Request.
There appears to be a Home Occupation Permit issued to the reported property. If you are able to provide
countervailing evidence of noncompliance, please forward it to the City for review.
The City continues to uphold residential zoning restrictions through the enforcement of conditions attached to home
occupation permits and applicable building regulations.
If you have any additional questions or would like clarification on the process, please feel free to call me at 503-718-
2581.
Best regards,
Ken

The buyer of this house has informed a neighbor that the city has froze his building operations at both this address as
well as the other he lives at 11715 sw Summercrest loop. For 15 days he states? That he called me my name (given to
him by the City). Is that ethical!??Also, that the City will be mailing all neighboring homes in our neighborhood asking if
we want a cannabis business here. It's my understanding that a business should be run with a permit and not in a
residential neighborhood. Legal or not.As far as 11715 SW Burlcrest Dr nothing stopped. The shed is being enclosed now
I've heard.
What is really going on? Does the City uphold residential restrictions?
Sincerely,
Diane and Chuck Rice
