The evidence you provided was helpful; however, much of the work appears to now be covered (e.g., any potential plumbing, electrical, or mechanical work),which makes it inconclusive for permitting purposes.At this point,we cannot justify requiring anything to be opened up and potentially causing damage to your home.That said, please be aware that if we receive future complaints supported by evidence indicating non-compliance,we may need to pursue enforcement at that time. Additionally, part of the original complaint included a concern that a business is operating out of the residence. Based on the photos and information you've provided, it does not appear that a business is currently in operation at your property. However, should you decide to operate a commercial business at your residence in the future, you will need to obtain land use approval for a home occupation permit through the City's Planning Division, as well as a City of Tigard-issued business license. We received a code compliance request concerning your property from nearby neighbors. Based on the reports submitted and recent interactions with staff at the Permit Center,we will need to obtain photos of the property in question that corroborate your correspondence and confirm compliance with applicable code requirements. Learn why this is important Hello Ken, hope this finds you well.We recently purchased 11715 SW Burlcrest Drive and are doing some standard up keep and small improvements to the home. The home is currently not occupied, nor is there a business operating on the property. Please see the following list of items we are doing to the home as the home was not maintained well for years and was heavily smoked in. Painting walls, doors and ceilings. Replacing kitchen and bathroom floors Changing kitchen counter tops Removing upper kitchen cabinets and installing shelving Refinishing hardwood floors Repairing roof vent gaskets that are leaking Repairs and maintenance to crawl space, and pest/ rat removal Drywall and paint inside of the garage. Non habitable space, storage only Replaced deteriorating garage doors Refurbishing Shed - replace rotten exterior plywood Driveway- repair/replace concrete on apron that is deteriorating No structural changes are being made to the home or property. I will be travelling this week for work. Please feel free to call, text, or email with any questions you may have. If we choose to move our small business to that address in the future we will be in to fill out any applications for use. Please update me on the status of the concern with Record DCC2025-0026.
