Any owner or owner's authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, or change the occupancy of a building or structure, which is TI regulated by this code, or to cause any such work to be ur, performed, shall first make application to the building official au and obtain the required permit. Any owner or owner's autho- rized agent who intends to repair an existing fire protection 10 system or life safety system shall first notify the local building car official and obtain any necessary building permit, where fur required by the municipality.
