Regarding the integrity of the damaged staircase, our code requires property maintenance and repairs to be conducted. If you're not planning to replace the staircase,we would need a letter from a structural engineer stating that the staircase is still capable of supporting the load it was designed to carry. If you have any questions, please call me at 503-718-2581. Thank you for your assistance and compliance, Ken 1 Original Message From:John Thompson <johnthompson378©gmail.com> Sent: Monday,August 19, 2024 11:20 AM To: Ken Ross<kenrotiqard-or.qov> Subject: Update On Code Compliance Ken, I wanted to give you an update. The ADA sidewalk compliance has been complete. Please see attached photos. Tree removal is scheduled for the last week of August. We have still had some issues with contacting the original engineers that were supposed to redo our staircase. We do have some photos to show you whether or not it needs to be replaced. It looks like a car had run into it at some point, but it doesn't seem to have compromised the integrity of it. Please advise. Thanks, Jonathan DISCLAIMER: E-mails sent or received by City of Tigard employees are subject to public record laws.
