Get Drawn to the Library! National Library Week is April 6-12
239,628 people visited the Tigard Public Library in 2024. What is the draw? Everything!
From young families stopping in for play and storytime, to teens creating their own text-based role-
playing games in Java, to seniors seeking tech help and everyone in between, the Tigard Public
Library helps us connect the dots from one part of our journey to the next. Chart your next literary
adventure by browsing the stacks or joining the library’s book group. Let an author color your
imagination at an author talk, save money by attending a plant swap, and enjoy a musical
performance that will make your toes tap. Learn how to improve your English with our English
conversation group or join us for a nature walk on the Fanno Creek Trail. Make your mark and get
involved with your library by volunteering or spreading the word.
Whatever draws you in, the library has something for everyone. In April, stop by the checkout area for
drawing supplies, a word search, stickers and more to celebrate National Library Week with us, while
supplies last.

2025 Novelist Reading Challenge - April -
Read a Book with Neurodivergent
Characters!
"The April challenge is to read a novel featuring neurodivergent
characters. The term “neurodivergent” describes people whose
brain differences affect how their brain works. That means they
