Resolution No. 25-04 CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON TIGARD CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 25-09 A RESOLUTION THANKING STEVE RYMER FOR HIS SERVICE AS CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF TIGARD. WHEREAS,after 30 years of public service,Steve Rymer will retire on February 8,2025 having served at Tigard City Manager since February 2021;and WHEREAS,City Manager Rymer has served as City Manager for the City of Tigard with dedication and integrity, providing leadership to guide the city's growth;and WHEREAS,under City Manager Rymer's leadership,the City of Tigard has experienced significant progress and milestones in numerous areas,including the introduction of zero-based budgeting and creation of internal service funds, the purchase of Wall Street property for a PW/PD Facility, guiding the implementation of council goals including the Tyler module implementation, and the successful passage of Tigard ballot items including City Charter Amendments and the Public Safety Levy;and WHEREAS,City Manager Rymer has worked to ensure that the City of Tigard remains an equitable community that is walkable, healthy, and accessible for everyone, always prioritizing the well-being and interests of the community;and WHEREAS, City Manager Rymer has led with professionalism and a strong sense of public service, earning the respect of city teammates,community,and elected officials alike;and WHEREAS,the City of Tigard has benefited from City Manager Rymer's vision and leadership,which will leave a lasting positive impact on the city for years to come. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that: SECTION 1: The Tigard City Council, teammates, and community thank Steve Rymer for his service as City Manager of Tigard and his years of public service.
