RE: Red Lobster Restaurant
Dear Rene:
A fire and life safety plan review was conducted on the above captioned
project for compliance with the 1985 editions of the Uniform Building Code
(UBC) , Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC) , and the Uniform Fire Code (UFC) , as
amended by Washington County Fire District No. 1's Ordinance 86-1,
Plans for hood and duct protection system for the above captioned project
are acceptable as submitted. However, in the future not less than 3 sets of
plans shall be submitted with adequate detail to compare to the installation
and maintenance manual to conduct a viable plan review. Diagrams shall be
drawn to scale, show pipe sizing and .length, types of heads used, sizes of
hoods as well as location of filters and size of ducts. Also, a floor plan
shall be included showing the location of the supply bottle for the system,
remote pull and gas shut-off i.f one is required.
Please contact this office (contact person is Bob Ray) to set an appointment
for witness of trip tests and an inspection of system installation.
If I can be of any further assistance to you, please feel free to contact me
at 526-2502.
Sincerely,

NOTE TO INSPECTOR:
Because of lack of information on these plans, I would suggest that a manual
be picked up from my office for an Ansul R-102 and taken with you on this
inspection for verification of pipe sizes, location of heads and other
miscellaneous items that may come up.

Dear Mr. Richards:
The Washington County Department of Public Health has received and
reviewed the plans for the proposed Red Lobster Restaurant located at

It is, our understanding community water and community sewer will be

The plans are approved subject to the following changes, additions and
recommendations:
1 ) Any sink used for washing of fonds must drain indirectly to
floor sinks. It is unclear on the plans to the method of
liquid waste disposal on *45 ice cube maker and #73-B soda

tower it must drain indirectly. Any refrigeration unit not
equipped with a built-in evaporator pan must have its liquid
wastes disposed of indirectly.

relocated handwashing sink in the kitchen must also be
equipped with dispensed soap and dispensed sanitary towels.
