Structural Engineers June 20, 2023 Mr. Scott McCormack McCormack Properties, LP Industrial and Office Buildings Portland, Oregon Subj.: Evaluation of Existing Roof Framing for Support of Re-roofing Tech Center—Building"B" 7379 SW Tech Center Dr. Tigard, OR 97223 Dear Scott, At your request, we have evaluated the existing roof framing of the subject building to support the new roofing membrane. Structural drawings of the existing building were not available for review. The existing roofing comprises of built-up roofing consisting of(2) ply and a cap sheet. Roof framing consists of plywood deck spanning approximately 24 inches between 2x6 sub-purlins that span approximately 8 feet between 2' "x 16'/z" glue-laminated purlins that span approximately 37 feet supported by steel girders and concrete tilt-up load- bearing walls. New roofing will consist of a new layer of 60mi1 TPO membrane over 'h inch thick Polyiso HD cover board. We have assumed that total weight of new roofing membrane and the cover board will be approximately 1.0 psf Based on our evaluations, the additional weight of the new roofing membrane is less than 5% of the weight of the existing roof structure. Per IEBC section 707.2, the additional load due to new roofing weight is structurally acceptable; no upgrade or further evaluation is required. Observations, analysis, conclusions and recommendations contained in this report reflect our best engineering judgment. Concealed construction related problems may exist within the structure that was not revealed through our review. Associated Consultants, therefore, can in no way warrant or guarantee the conditions of the existing construction of the building and the building site. 100 East 13rh Street Suite 10 • Suite 10 • Vancouver, Washington 98660 PHONE:(503)384-0460•FAX:(503)384-0459 We trust the above is satisfactory for your needs.
