Arrived on site at 10975 SW Hall Blvd, Tigard, OR at 9:00 am,to check performance of helical pile installations.Meet Connor with the crew of 3 on site. They completed just one pile(pile# 1)by the time I arrived on site. One of total of 12 piles was already installed at the northeast corner of the building, just next to the creek. The fast running local creek full with water generating from recent heavy rain&snow events, evidently impacted driving of pile # 1 to a depth of 100 feet below the sutface. The creek was running just 5 feet away from pile # 1. The spacing between two piles is 6-7 as designed. The pothole for the next pile#2 was excavated to a depth of aprox 24"below the current grade. The footing was exposed in the pothole at the depth of 10"below current grade. Witnessed the installation of pile#2 at the northern wall of the builkding. The helical pile#2 was installed to a depth of 25 feet in my presence. The torque reading while driving pile extensions was approx. 1700,but lockup has reached a maximum of 1950 ft-lb at the depth of 25 feet. Returned to the office at 11:00 am.
