(Comments are due by Monday at noon) Safe parking Comments I don't know what else to say but please consider placing these sites away from residential neighborhoods. I understand that the Methodist site would have the effect of closing the church preschool which supports 60 families and 4 teachers.Christ the King preschool would also close. Both have issues for families impacted by these closures. I realize that all people who are unhoused are not drug addicts or criminals and that many are seeking to improve their lives and need help but there are so very many issues about putting these sites in neighborhoods. The sites should be on public property or near businesses who can more adequately provide oversite. With out 24 hour oversite and monitoring theses sites are likely to attract people who are harmful and abusive. We want to keep the neighborhoods livable. I don't know where any of you live but ask yourself if you would want one of these sites to be adjacent to your yards.St Cecilia school requires police escort for the children going to school these because of abusive and threatening behavior. Please take all of this into consideration Respectfully submitted Attachment Supporting Documents/Images Thank you, City of Tigard This is an automated message generated by Granicus. Please do not reply directly to this email. 1 AGENDA ITEM NO. 3.C. - PUBLIC COMMENT DATE: May 14, 2024 (Limited to 2 minutes or less, please) This is a City of Tigard public meeting, subject to the State of Oregon's public meeting and records laws.
