AMENDMENT #1
The Agreement between the City of Tigard, a municipal corporation of the State of Oregon, hereinafter called
City, and AKS Engineering & Forestry, hereinafter referred to as Contractor, is hereby amended as follows:
1. Services To Be Provided
Section 2 of the Contract is amended to add additional scope for the trail in East Butte Heritage Park,
see Exhibit B1.
2. Compensation
Section 2 of the contract is amended to add funds for the trail in East Butte Heritage Park, see Exhibit
B1. Section 2 is further amended to increase the total potential compensation payable under the
contract by $22,326.00, for a new total of $405,447.00. Total payments to Contractor for services
under this contract, including but not limited to services added by this amendment number 1, shall
not exceed that new total without further amendment of the contract.

AMENDMENT 1
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The following scope of work will amend the current contract for the Tigard Safe Routes to School project
to add scope for the analysis, design and construction support of pathway lighting along the trail in East
Butte Heritage Park that connects the intersections of SW Murdock Street/SW 103rd Avenue and SW
Murdock Street/SW106th Avenue in Tigard, Oregon.
Task 1 Project Management
Task 1.1 – Project Management
Consultant will complete the followings tasks:
· Prepare for and attend two meetings related to pathway lighting. Meetings are assumed to be
held virtually.
Task 3 Design Engineering
Task 3.2 Prepare 90% Drawings, Specifications, and Estimate
Consultant will Prepare lighting design plans and detail sheets for the pathway lighting following
guidelines outlined in the City of Tigard Engineering Design Manual (August, 2022). The 90% submittal will
include the following work to complete the design:
· 90% Pathway Lighting Plans (1) and Detail Sheets (2)
· Special Provisions
· Bid Item Descriptions
· 90% Construction Cost Estimate
Task 3.3 Final Drawings & Bid Package
Consultant will prepare 100% drawings, specifications and cost estimate. Address City comments from
90% submittal.
· Prepare one bid addenda.
· Prepare CAD file Package for the Contractor
Task 3.4 Prepare Fixture Alternatives Analysis
Consultant will assist the City early in the design process to evaluate various lighting options for the path
through the park. A brief memo explaining pedestrian lighting options will be prepared. A meeting will be
conducted with the City to discuss lighting options. This high-level lighting options evaluation will be
further developed in an alternatives analysis that evaluates specific bollard style lighting options that will
be chosen for the project.
Consultant will complete an alternatives analysis of up to three different lighted bollard standards for the
pathway and prepare a brief memorandum comparing costs, necessary fixture spacing, pathway lighting
targets, and other relevant information to the pathway lighting design. Work products will include:
· Draft Alternatives lighting analysis memorandum
· Final Alternatives lighting analysis memorandum

Task 8 Construction Administration Services
Task 8.1 Weekly Meetings/Coordination
Consultant will complete the following as needed to support construction:
· Review up to 3 submittals for materials required for pathway lighting
· Log and respond to up to 2 RFIs, Clarifications, Change Order Requests, Work Change Directives
and Change Orders.
Task 8.3 Record Drawings
Consultant will complete the following:
· Prepare record drawings showing the as constructed facilities based on construction
observation, contractor provided notes, and survey verification related to pathway lighting.
Drawings shall be provided in PDF format and AutoCAD format.
