Structural EngIneers June 20, 2023 Mr. Dillon Riley McDonald &Wetle, Inc. 2020 NE 190 Ave. Portland, OR 97230 Subj.: Evaluation of Existing Roof Framing for Support of Re-roofing 6650 SW Redwood Lane Tigard,OR 97224 Dear Dillon, At your request, we have evaluated the existing roof framing of the subject building to support the new roofing membrane. Structural drawings of the existing building were made not available for our review. The building is a three-story office building. The existing roofing comprises of built-up roofing membrane consisting of (2) ply and a cap sheet over a 3" thick layer of rigid insulation and 'h" thick boards. Roof framing consists of metal deck spanning between steel beams supported by steel girders and columns. New roofing will consist of a new layer of 60m'1 PVC over a 1" thick "ISOGARD" HD cover board. We have assumed that total weight of the existing roofing to be approximately 2.5Psr and the new roofing membrane and the cover board to be approximately 1.0Psr Based on our evaluations, the additional weight of the new roofing membrane is less than 5% of the design loads of the existing roof structure. Per IEBC section 707.2, the additional load due to new roofing weight is structurally acceptable; no upgrade or further evaluation is required. Observations, analysis, conclusions and recommendations contained in this report reflect our best engineering judgment. Concealed construction related problems may exist within the structure that was not revealed through our review. Associated Consultants, therefore, can in no way warrant or guarantee the conditions of the existing construction of the building and the building site. 100 East 13th Street Suite 10 • Suite 10 • Vancouver, Washington 98660 PHONE:(503)384-0460•FAX:(503)384-0459 VL'./its...i.._k_j.J•`7\_eytA •a j2 lit I.LS T I,T! 1 el Toy .€:,.- 'j , c c-vrt...VA ' t Nc1 . ,c -ems IE-?< 1 ‘T i.N C 15w.t_T -2 }-L- 'Ftc t 2 , Sr '1 , e1 t o 1 tN u t.
