Here are five ways to access Library resources that you may not have tried. 1. Holds Lockers: Next time you place a hold, try our Holds Lockers for quick, convenient pick up. The Lockers are located in the Library Lobby and available beginning at 9 AM Monday through Friday. The Holds Lockers are part of a two-year pilot project in partnership with the WCCLS, funded by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES). 2. Libby: Delete your pay-to-read apps. The Libby app allows you to access the WCCLS collection of e-books and e-audio anywhere! 3. Kanopy: Movies? We have an app for that too. The Kanopy app gives you free access to thousands of movies with your WCCLS library card. 4. Adventure Pass: Your WCCLS library card can take you places... Places like Five Oaks Museum, Lan Su Chinese Garden, or the Portland Art Museum. See the full list. 5. Books to Go: The Books to Go collection lets you borrow without a library card or due dates. You'll find Books to Go collections for kids and teens. Chilita's Café Grand Opening: November 8 Join the City of Tigard and Micro Enterprise Services of Oregon (MESO) on Tuesday, November 8 at 5:30 PM to celebrate the Grand Opening of Chilita's Café at Tigard Public Library! Chilita's, run by Michelle Cruz, will operate in the Library’s Opportunity Café business incubator. Find out more. Library Closed November 11 and 23 Plan your visits in advance! There will be adjustments to Tigard Public Library's November hours in observance of Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. Saturday, November 11: Closed Wednesday, November 22: Library closes at 4 PM Thursday, November 23: Closed Online resources are available 24/7 at wccls.org. Kids Getting Started with Dungeons & Dragons Tuesday, November 14 | 4-5:30 PM Kids & Teens ages 10-17 | Puett Room Calling all level one humans! Do you want to play D&D and aren’t sure how to start? Teens & Adults National Novel Writing Month Write-Ins Tuesdays, November 7, 14, 21, & 28 | 4:30-7:30 PM Library Technology Room | Teens & Adults Every Tuesday in November, bring your computer or notebook to the Technology Room on the library’s second floor and work on your NaNoWriMo project in the company of fellow Wrimos. The library also has several Chromebooks available to borrow. Snacks provided. Hosted by Willamette Writers.
