This award will support the SRTS program as the hub of local efforts to educate and encourage children to safely walk, bike, roll, or bus to school. The SRTS program provides a variety of education and encouragement offerings for all Tigard- Tualatin School District (TTSD) schools, accesses funding for capital infrastructure improvements and engages directly with individual schools and families to increase safety and accessibility around pedestrian travel options. To bolster the SRTS program and strengthen the relationship between the City of Tigard and TTSD, the city invited TTSD to partner in developing an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) that will benefit all students, families, and community members in Tigard and Tualatin. "This agreement will strengthen current programs and introduces new objectives that will lead to safer, more walkable, and healthier communities" said Hendrik Broekelschen, SRTS Program Coordinator. "It will help Tigard to achieve our strategic vision which is to make the city of Tigard an equitable community that is walkable, healthy, and accessible for everyone." ### Page 1 of 1
