Subgrade appeared to consist of brown silt. I used a%" diameter steel foundation probe to evaluate the consistency of the subgrade. Resistance to penetration indicates generally stiff subgrade conditions. Prior to my departure I spoke with Adrian via phone and recommended that a layer of crushed rock be placed over the exposed subgrade and keyed in as protection from weather and foot traffic. Based on observations and probing, it is our opinion that building 24 subgrade observed today and as indicated on attachments has been prepared in general accordance with our geotechnical recommendations.
