Kids: Kids can pick up a free book and reading log June 1 through July 31. When the log is complete, come back and pick up a second free book July 15 through August 31! Teens: Whether entering 6th grade in the fall or just graduated high school, teens can pick up a free book and reading log between June 1-July 31. When the log is complete, come back and pick up a second free book between July 15-August 31! Feeling a little extra? Follow the instructions on the reading log for more chances to win prizes. Adults: Adults 18+ can pick up a reading log and free book at the second floor reference desk. All Ages Summer Reading Kickoff with Chicamarimba Thursday, June 1 | 6:30-7:30 PM Library Backyard | All Ages Celebrate the start of summer and the Summer Reading Program with an outdoor dance party featuring local favorites Chicamarimba! This all-woman ensemble plays world music blending African and Latin American rhythms as well as contemporary favorites. Program presented in partnership with Friends of the Tigard Library. Kids Stuffed Animal Sleepover Saturday, June 3 | 2-3:30 PM Burgess Community Room | Kids & Families Bring a plush friend to a special storytime hosted by Teen Library Council, with stuffie-themed crafts and activities. Leave your stuffed animal behind for an overnight at the library and find out what shenanigans they got into when you pick them up the next day. Teens Black Panther Movie Marathon Saturday, June 24| Noon-5 PM Burgess Community Room | Teens in grades 6-12 Drop in to a library double-feature. Munch on snacks while enjoying two films set in the kingdom of Wakanda.
