building permit is required when structural changes are made or the space sheathing is
removed or replaced.
SUBMIT TWO (2) SETS OF PLANS SPECIFYING:
A. Roof area and nearest street.
B. Attic vents: Provide 1 sq. ft. for each 150 sq. ft. of attic space. Vents shall be
located in the upper 1/3 of the roof. Provide 1 sq. ft. for each 300 sq. ft. when
eave and attic venting is provided.
Note: No permit is required for residential re-roof if not more than two(2) layers of
roofing will exist upon completion of the re-roofing.

SCHEDULE 2
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Scope of Work
Coordinate all work through building staff prior to commencement.
Tear O0'
I. Tear off the existing roofing dnwn to the substrate as well as any roof related metal coping caps.wall
skirt and counter flashings and dispose of offsire in a legal manner.
2. Inspect the roofing substrate for damage and deteriorations from water damage.structural movement,and
any other condition that does not meet code.All substrate will be repaired in accordance with codes and
in like materials as the existing roof. When the roof is open and damage is found a representative from
your organization will need to be available to approve the replacement as stand-by time and weather
conditions make this vet),sensitive to costs incurred. We will invoice at our contractual rate listed
below.Upgrades will need to be prenpproved.
3 Replace any damaged or dry roiled sheathing on a time and materials basis of$96.00 per hour plus
materials marked up 25%for overhead and burden.Any change orders will be added to the total lump
stun of the base bid price.
4. II'a structural failure of members is present,we may be requited to bring in a registered structural
professional engineer to evaluate the condition and to make recommendations,designs-and calculations
as required by codes and enforcing jurisdiction.This will be an extra cost on a time and material bases.
5. Re-install substrate as needed at the change order rate.
6. Clean the substrate to the appropriate condition For acceptance of the next layer of the roof assembly.
7. Clean debt-is front site daily and remove the debris as needed and dispose in an offsire location in a legal
manner.
PVC Mechanically Attached Systems
1. Furnish and install a layer of Yz'secursheild over the wood substrate and mechanically attach to
the substrate.This will give the roof assembly a Class"A"fire rating.
2. Over the securshield,furnish and Install a new 60 mil PVC roof membrane and mechanically
attach to the substrate.
3. All field and base flashing seams will be cleaned before welded.
4. Furnish and install new PVC base fleshings around ail curb penetrations.
5. At all skylight locations, remove the skylights and set aside to reuse.
6. Furnish and Install new PVC base'lashings that will extend up and over the top of the skylight
curb to the manufacturer's specification.
7. Furnish and Install new foam sealant tape around the top of the curb prior to installing the
skylights.
8. Reinstall the existing skylights over the curbs and secure to the curb with new neoprene
gasketed fasteners,
9. Furnish and Install pre-manufactured inside/outside PVC corner fleshings at curb penetrations,
thru wall scupper drains, pitch pans and wall fleshings.
10.Furnish and Install new pre-manufactured pipe boots on all pipes up to 6'In diameter complete
with a new stainless-steel clamps and sealant.
11.All pipes larger than 6'in diameter will be field wrapped with unreinforced PVC membrane
complete with a new stainless steel pipe clamp and sealant.
12.Furnish and Install PVC patches at all 7-Joints in the field membrane. 1

13.At all gas and electrical tines,furnish and Install pre-manufactured PVC pitch pans.
14.Furnish and Install pre-manufactured PVC pitch pans around the line sets oft the condensing
units.
15.Fumleh end Install a 1-part poly-urethane rubberized pitch pan sealant In each pitch pan.
16.Furnish and Install new PVC base fleshings at all parapet walls that will extend up and across
the top of all walls.
17.Fumish and Install new PVC base fleshings at all parapet wails that will extend up the wall a
minimum of 8".
18.Fumish and install a metal anchor bar to the top of the flashing and mechanically attach every
12"on center.
19.Fabricate and Install new clad steel thru wall drain fleshings and mechanically attach to the
substrate.Furnish and Install new PVC fleshings to the drain.
20.Furnish and Install new PVC membrane In the roof drain assemblies and set-In water cut off
mastic.Install the clamping ring to the drain body compressing the PVC membrane Into the
water cut off mastic to Insure a watertight seal. Install new drain bolts complete with new
washers.
21.Relnstall the drain screens back In place once the drain rings are Installed.
22.Fabricate and Install clad steel drip metal along the gutter and mechanically attach every 12"on
center to the wood substrate. Leave a�'/."gap between the joints In the metal flashing.
23.Fabricate and Install new 24-gauge galvanized clip metal to be Installed along the outside of all
parapet walls.Mechanically attach the clip to the well.
24.Fabricate and Install new pre-painted standard color 24 gauge galvanized standing seam
coping cap around the perimeter of all parapet walls.All new metal coping caps will be installed
by hooking the front face Into the clip metal to secure the face of the metal to the building.
Mechanically attach to the wall with new neoprene gasketed►asteners.
25,Fabricate and Install new pre-painted standard color 24-gauge surface mounted metal counter
fleshings along the Inside walls.These fleshings will counter over the new PVC membrane
fleshings and be mechanically attached 12"on center.Install a poly-urethane caulking to the
top of the fleshing to Insure a watertight seal.
26.Fabricate end Install new pre-painted standard color 24-gauge metal counter fleshings around
each HVAC unit and mechanically attach to the curb with new neoprene gasketed fasteners.
27.Upon completion of ail the work we will have the manufacturer's representative Inspect the roof
for completeness and for the issuance of the factory warranty.
28.Upon completion of the above work, remove all tools and debris and leave the site In a clean
and orderly condition.
Sheet Metal Standing Seam(Currant tile roof sections)
1. Tear off existing tile and dispose of offsite in a legal manner.
2. Fabricate and install new 24-gauge metal drip edge.
3. Fabricate and install pre-painted standard color 24-gauge c-channel and rake edge flashing.
Note: c-channel maybe used to strengthen rake edge flashing.
4. Fabricate and install pre-painted standard color 24-gauge standard ridge.
5. Furnish and install 16"pre-painted standard color 24-gauge,mechanically fastened seam
according to manufacturer's specifications.
6. Furnish and install new Decktite pipe boots at pipe penetrations.
7. Upon completion and payment furnish all warranties
