Seize the May!
How will you celebrate, connect, and learn this month? Here are three ways to make May marvelous.
Move4May: Move4May! encourages us to stay active outdoors or at home. Throughout the
month, enjoy local events, highlights from local businesses, and fun challenges to get moving!
You can also get inspired to move this month with our Move4May booklist! Move4May! is brought
to you by City of Tigard Safe Routes to School Program, Parks & Recreation, Community
Development, and the Tigard Public Library. Find out more and get moving!
Celebrate Screen-Free Week: May 1-7 is Screen-Free Week: an annual invitation to play,
explore, and rediscover the joys of life beyond screens.
Children's Book Week: Children's Book Week happens twice each year, but there's still so
much to celebrate. This May 1-7 (maybe while you're taking a break from screens) pick up a
children's book to read with the littles in your life. This year's theme is "Read Books. Spark
Change." Need a recommendation? We're here to help!
