Find New Favorites in Refreshed Locations!
We've rearranged some of our collections to make it easier to browse popular materials. On your next
visit, look for changes in:
Holds: More community members are visiting and browsing the library in-person, so we
consolidated the holds to one wall. Holds from the Library of Things are currently kept behind the
Circulation Desk.
Teen Scene: Young Adult materials are popular for readers of many ages! The Teen Scene area
has shifted to open more space, especially for YA fiction and graphic novels. Make sure you
check out the displays in that area highlighting our awesome teen books!
Adult New Books: Find new adult fiction, nonfiction, and books on CD to your left at the top of
the stairs. We hope that the new location makes it easier to find the books you want and ones
you didn't know you needed!
These projects are part of the work of our Strategic Plan to “create inclusive, engaging browsing
options…in order to simplify and expand choice-making.”
If you'd like help finding what you need anywhere in the library, just ask! Our team is here to make
sure you find the perfect book, DVD, music CD, or board game for you.

Online Event | Teens & Adults
As more information moves online, our privacy is under increasing

the internet knows about us, how companies and governments
track us, and what is being done with all that personal data that is
collected as we spend time online.
This is an online event. Advance registration is required. A link to
join the event will be emailed to attendees at least 48 hours before
the start time.
Program presented in partnership with Friends of the Tigard

Making Music: Juvenile Fiction for Young
Musicians
"A selection of juvenile fiction stories featuring young musicians.
Whether they are surrounded by music, have musicians in their
family, sing, play an instrument, or compose music, some of them
are even aspiring to be professional artists when they grow up."
- Janet, Youth Services Librarian

One Word To Rule Them All
"Some books are like Cher, Prince, Banksy, or Zendaya:
Effervescent yet elusive (when you want to find them in the library
catalog.) Do these minimalist titles from the last few years capture
the story and demand to be read? Word."
-Lisa, Teen Librarian

New Reads for Jewish Book Month: Novels
for Adults
"In the 1920s Fanny Goldstein, a librarian from the Boston Public
Library, created Jewish Book Week to celebrate Jewish authors
and stories. In the 1940s, the celebration was extended to a month-
long event taking place in the weeks leading up to Hanukkah, the
Jewish festival of lights, miracles and identity. Celebrate the month
(Nov. 18-Dec. 18, 2022) with these 12 great new novels featuring
Jewish characters or themes."
