Would you like to have a say in the library’s future? The City of Tigard is seeking to fill an opening on the Library Board for an Alternate position. The term will begin in January and will run for two years. The Library Board currently meets virtually on Microsoft Teams on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The Tigard Library Board is an advisory board to the City Council. If you are interested in applying, fill out a Boards and Committees Application form or apply on-line. Both options are available at www.tigard-or.gov/vacancy. Adults Holocaust Remembrance on the 84th Anniversary of Kristallnacht, with Anneke Bloomfield Wednesday, November 9 | 6-7:30 PM Burgess Community Room | Adults & Teens Holocaust survivor Anneke Bloomfield will talk about her experiences under Nazi persecution during WWII. This event is on the anniversary of a concerted assault on the Jews of Germany and Austria, now thought to be the first clear harbinger of the Holocaust to come. Advance registration is required.
