Unmask Alice Author Rick Emerson
Saturday, October 15 | 4-5 PM
Burgess Community Room | Adults
Published in 1971, the book Go Ask Alice presented itself as an
authentic diary of a teenage girl’s descent into addiction. It had a
massive effect on the culture and continues to be read today. But
how real is Alice? Who was the person who found this “diary,” and
what were they hiding? Local author Rick Emerson spent years
researching these questions and comes to the Tigard Public Library
to share Alice’s secrets! Space is limited, arrive early to guarantee
entry.
Program presented in partnership with Friends of the Tigard
Library.

Plant an Acorn, Grow... a Reader!
"Acorn Readers is a series put out by Scholastic for kids learning to
read. At the Tigard Library, we keep some in the Early Readers
collection, and some in the Juvenile Graphic Novels. See the
descriptions for the names of each individual series and which
library collection they are a part of. Really no need for descriptions
beyond that, because in this case, you really can judge a book by
its cover. Click on a book that looks good to your kid, scroll down a
little, and see all the other books in the same series."
