We have a permit that has been issued PLM2021-00500 applied for by Alexander, listing PMSI as the contractor on a Target store. I've recently received an application for work from Amanda at PMSI for work at Target. (see attached applications) The fixtures are different, but is it the same project? If requested, e-mail 1 Karen Abdill To: Alexander Lampert; Kenny Asher Cc: Leif Erickson Subject: Target permits and inspections Hi Alex. Just touching bases with you to help sort out the confusion. As I am understanding there are 2 separate issues: Lampert Group submitted revisions (according to Leif this evening) for your mechanical, structural, electrical and plumbing permits due to the new addition of the Fire Pump room 3 weeks ago. The mechanical and architectural revisions have both been approved and the additional plan review fees were paid June 23; however the approved revised plans are still here in the building department waiting to be picked up, by Skanska or whomever. I'm waiting to hear back from the Plumbing Plans examiner and Electrical Plans examiner about their review of the changes due to the pump room addition. I've cleared a"revision" hold from the electrical permit while I wait to hear from the Inspector, so you should be able to request Electrical inspections as of this evening. I expect to hear from both of those guys tomorrow and will update everyone. The second—separate issue involves plumbing permits and applications I reached out to you about May 24th and have had several conversations with people including the actual plumbing supervisor from the job last Thursday evening. You suggested a meeting that I didn't think was necessary, but after talking to the plumber on-site, agree that it might be helpful. I'm hoping this helps clear things up. I'll be unavailable tomorrow until 1:00 in meetings, but will be happy to talk with you or message any time after that. OR- MEP Submittals Caution! This message was sent from outside your organization. Brandon, Thank you for returning my email, and for routing those calculations to the examiner. We also appreciate you letting us know that we will not require an electrical review, there was some confusion regarding that, so that is relieving. We will have our electrical contractor obtain that once we are ready for that. We will send you new mechanical plan sheets along with a more thorough scope of work for those shortly so the mechanical portion of review can begin. As for the 3 remaining sets of plans, they can be recycled.Thank you again for the help and information. We will get back to you on the mechanical plans shortly. Leif R. We have been experiencing a high volume of calls and emails recently. I located the (3) extra sets of plans today. It appears there was some confusion with your submittal considering (6) sets of plans were received. I found the engineering calculations and project manual together with the extra plans that presumably were not reviewed by our Commercial Plans Examiner,Tom Hochstatter. Evidently we routed the other(3) sets of plans for plan review only. Since we are waiting on contractor license information to issue this permit, I am going to route the calculations to our Plans Examiner for him to approve and stamp. With regard to the attached Electrical Permit Application, the scope of work does not require plan review per the criteria listed in the plan review box in the upper right hand corner of the application. This permit can be obtained online by your electrical contractor when you have selected them. The permit can be created through our website: https://aca-prod.accela.com/TIGARD/Welcome.aspx. Concerning the Mechanical permit, (2) sets of plans are required for plan review. The (3) extra sets of plans that we received have (1) mechanical page in them. Since only(1) mechanical page is included, we will not be storing the large Building permit plans and stamping all of the remaining pages "reference only." The best option would be to mail us new Mechanical plans together with the completed Mechanical Permit Application. Also, when you resubmit, please include a specific mechanical scope of work instead of"mechanical modifications" on the application. Lastly, would you like the (3) extra plans back? If not, I can recycle them. Please let us know if you have questions. OR- MEP Submittals Hello Jeff, My team and I wanted to follow up on this email, and see if there is any update for the following. In the attached email below, Dianna mentioned that you would be able to review the work identified by the attached permit, and determine whether a plan review is required. Has a determination been made? If not, please let us know if you require anything additional in order to do so. Thank you, Leif R. If MEP pages were included when you submitted the building permit plans, those pages would have been stamped 'reference only' as we accept and review trade permit application and plans separately. Below is some information regarding processing of trade permits: • Mechanical Permit: Plan review is required for all commercial mechanical. Submit hardcopies of completed application, including more detailed description of work, and (2) sets of mechanical plans and (2) copies of all equipment cut sheets. Contractor can be 'TBD' at submittal and must be identified prior to permit issuance. The plans examiner Tom Hochstatter is copied on this email if you have any questions about mechanical plan review requirements. • Electrical Permit: The electrical inspector Jeff Grove is copied on this email to review the work identified on the attached electrical permit application and will respond to let you know if plan review is required. o If plan review is required, submit hardcopies of completed application and (2) sets of electrical plans. o If plan review is not required, a licensed contractor can obtain the electrical permit through our online permit system at https://aca-prod.accela.com/TIGARD/Welcome.aspx. • Plumbing Permit: Email a copy of the completed application form, including licensed contractor information, to TigardBuildingPermits@tigard-or.gov and allow 1-3 weeks for processing. Please note that because of the added fixtures that did not previously exist in this space, there will be sanitary sewer system development charges assessed and this will be invoiced along with the plumbing permit and must be paid before the plumbing permit can be issued. Hardcopies of all application materials can be submitted to a drop box in the lobby of the Permit Center, Monday- Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm. We are closed on Fridays. No appointment is necessary and no fees are due at application submittal. Plans —can also be mailed to: City of TigardBuilding Division, 13125 SW Hall Blvd, Tigard, OR 97223. Please contact the building permit technicians at TigardBuildingPermits@tigard-or.gov if you have further permit submittal questions. Thank you. Dianna L.
