Share Our Success!
IYear One of the Library Strategic Plan
OPPORTUNITY It has been one year since the Tigard Public Library unveiled our
CAFE new 2021-2026 Strategic Plan, and we're excited to share our
progress on the goals you helped us set.
The library partnered with Community Development to create a
business incubator in the lobby caf6 space called the Opportunity
Cafe. The current entrepreneur opened his restaurant El
Cuadril6tero in November 2021.
BORROW LAPTOP Beginning in January 2022, we began lending Chromebooks paired
with Wi-Fi hotspots to help bridge Tigard's digital divide.
Community members can Borrow A Laptop to connect to
technology wherever it's convenient to them. In the past five
months, the library's 11 laptops have checked out a total of 89
times.
We created Student Library Accounts for all TTSD students in
partnership with WCCLS and Tigard Tualatin School District.
w Thanks to this collaboration, 5,451 library accounts were created
for students in early 2022.
Next year we'll maintain this progress and continue working on new
goals. We're currently planning an updated, flexible, multi-use
technology space where community members can try new
technology, join an event, or meet up with a group.
Visit the library website to see more about the progress we made
this year and our plans for the future!
