Correspondence PUM2022 -- 001 ( 3 Branden OO4 5 CA-S E AVE - randen Taggart From: Branden Taggart Sent: Monday, March 21, 2022 12:17 PM To: Stephen Li Cc: Kevin Jones;John Wollberg; Anthony Richardson; Dion Bruce; Karen Abdill Subject: RE: FW: 10065 SW Cascade Ave. - Tesla TI Plumbing Permit Application Stephen, Trench drains are often times exterior of the building and associated with site utilities plumbing work, which is why a site plan was requested. In this case, the trench drain is interior, so you do not need to submit a site plan. However, I confirmed with our Senior Plumbing Inspector, Don Sylvester, that he needs to see (2) sets of plans showing the routing of the trench drain to the grease interceptor along with the location of the venting. If you would like to discuss this further, please reach out to Don by phone at (503) 367-7118. All mechanical, electrical, and plumbing pages included in the Building permit plans are stamped "reference only" and may not be used for plan review of individual Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing permits. Therefore, you will need to submit (2) sets of plans for plan review. Since page P2.00 seems to show this information, please submit (2) copies of this page for plan review, along with a Site Utilities Plumbing Permit Application. Although the work is interior, I am requesting that the Site Utilities Plumbing Permit Application be submitted with the plans considering trench drains are associated with site utilities work. Allow sender I Block sender Dion and Branden, I'm looking at the Tesla TI permit plans, and do not fully understand the request for a site plan. The wash-bay is an interior wash bay and the connection to the sand-oil separator and sanitary sewer line is also interior. Our permit drawings on Sheet P2.00, show our trench drain, the venting and tie in. The pump is a necessary add due to the distance we have to get to the main sanitary line. Branden—Can you confirm you are looking at the Tesla TI set?The landlord (Benderson) also had their own set for their work, but that is their separate scope of work and does not include this work. I figured it was a trench drain, but I had no way of knowing the exact scope of work without plans, which is why I mentioned the drywell —please disregard. For a trench drain, we do require (2) copies of a site plan to review, and we will need to see how you are routing the trench drain to the grease interceptor along with the venting. Feel free to email the site plan to us along with the completed Site Utilities Plumbing Permit Application. Are you saying that car wash waste water cannot go into sanitary sewer? And they we need to add a drywell? Please advise so we can proceed with your request below. Also we will need to receive (2) copies of a site plan, drawn to scale, showing the location of the drywell or trench drain in relation to the building. You may send us the site plan by email if it can be legibly printed on an 8.5" x 11" or 11" x 17" pages. Since the installation of a grease trap requires plan review, we will need to receive the following for plan review: • (1) completed Plumbing Permit Application resubmitted with the plans. • (2) sets of plans showing the locating of the grease trap and its proximity to the other plumbing fixtures. • (2) sets of cut sheets from the manufacturer. Please keep in mind that plumbing plan review can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks. Grease trap plans are usually reviewed towards the front end of this timeline, but everything depends on our current workload. Please let me know if you have questions. Thank you, 5 N...
