I just checked the site plan and it does not look like you've included any dimensions related to the deck size or the
distance from the deck to the side and rear property lines. Please include these measurements on the site plan. I just
checked the dimensions of the deck plan that was included in the original permit submission and the deck measures
11.5'x 18'x 18'. I've included a scan of the original deck permit drawings to help convey this information to you,the
deck on the site plan will need to be redrawn to match the dimensions of the deck proposed in the drawings. Lastly,
please make sure to include the dimensions of all the property lines as well.You may scan and email me the site plan
once the revisions have been made

Hi Rylan,
It looks like this permit is still in review with the planning department as the site plan sent over with the initial permit
application was not acceptable. I had sent over an email requesting for edits on the site plan on 9/23 but the email it
had been sent to was incorrect.Apologies for the miscommunication, but the site plan will need to be revised with the
following information below:
o Re-drawn to an engineer's scale (1"=10', 20' etc.)on 8%2 x 11 or 11 x 17 format/paper
o Provide all existing and proposed structures
o Provide dimensions of the proposed deck and finished floor area of deck
o Provide setbacks of deck from the property lines(it must be at least 5'from the property line facing
Greenland Dr.and 5'from the property line shared with 10080 Kent PI)
o Show location of utilities (I've provided a screenshot of our map to assist with drawing this information
on the site plan, red is for sewer and blue is for water)
■ The screenshot of the aerial image is not-to-scale and is only to be used as a reference on the
location of the utility lines
o Show location of driveway and driveway access
Once the site plan has been revised, please scan and email it directly to me and I can review the site plan to check if all
the items above have been addressed then I can sign off on the planning review.The building department is able to
expedite this permit as quick as possible considering that there were delays. Please let me know if you have any follow
up questions.

Hi Ryan,
We appreciate your willingness to comply with the Stop Work Order. However, it does not pertain to the windows. The
Stop Work Order is for the new deck that is over 30 inches above grade. It sounds as if you are preparing to submit
plans soon.
To help you with the submittal process,you may view the deck requirements through our online Tigard Deck Guide:

attached the Building Permit Application above for you which lists the Building permit requirements on the second
page.
When you are ready to submit for this Building permit,you are welcome to deliver your submittal to our drop box,
located in the lobby of the Permit Center, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday(see
attached aerial shot for the location). We are closed on Fridays. An appointment is not necessary.
Please note that our current permit processing time is 4-8 weeks. We will contact you for payment of the plan review
fees after the permit has been created. The plan review fees will need to be paid online with a credit card or
check. Please note that it is not necessary to contact us regarding the status of your permit as this will further delay the
process. We appreciate your patience. Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Good afternoon,
My name is Rylan Phillips with Boss Exteriors.We recently received a stop work order due to lack of compliance. We are
working with an architect for plans that will help us become compliant. Below is a breakdown of the work we have
completed or intend to complete.There was some mention about window openings that were altered but we only
replaced windows like for like. We did not increase the window size for any of the openings.
Deck and painting scope of work
Description: - Pressure wash -Scrape any loose or chipping paint-Tape off and tarp-Apply 2 coats of paint on body and
back roll -Apply 2 coats of paint on trim and back roll - Hand touch up where necessary-Clean up and remove any
construction-related debris 2 Deck 12x12
Description: -Cut siding back- Install ledger boards- Install z metal above ledger boards - Install posts- Install 2x6 joists
12" OC- Install rim board - Install trex or similar decking with hidden fasteners- Install Fortress Railing>???- Install steps
and railing-Clean up
Description: - Install new decking- Install railing (front deck)
Windows scope of work
Description:
- Remove Existing windows
- Inspect for rot or damage
- Prep window hole with window wrap
- Install new Milgard styleline window
- Install doors- Install window wrap
- Install trim
- Caulk
- Clean up

As you can see, no framing work was included for the windows. We at Boss want to make things right and become
compliant. Please let us know what we need to do to make that happen. We are expecting plans for the deck soon so
that we can submit for review. I apologize for not being more thorough before beginning work.
