A RESOLUTION APPOINTING LEAH VOIT AND CLARISSA BENFIELD TO VOTING POSITIONS
AND APPOINTING JAKE SCHLACK AS THE ALTERNATE POSITION ON THE BUDGET
COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, ORS 294.414(2) states that the budget committee shall consist of the members of the governing
body and a number, equal to the number of members of the governing body, of electors of the municipal
corporation appointed by the governing body,and;
WHEREAS,two vacancies were created on the Budget Committee when terms expired for Leah Voit and Chris
Bence,and the alternate position,occupied by Kris Mitchell for one year,and;
WHEREAS, the Mayor's Appointments Advisory Committee (Council President Lueb and City Manager Steve
Rymer) conducted interviews of seven individuals on November 18,2021;and
WHEREAS, the Appointments Advisory Committee has recommended that Leah Voit be re-appointed, and
Clarissa Benfield be appointed to the city's Budget Committee. In addition, the committee has recommended
that Jake Schlack be appointed as an alternate member.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: Leah Voit and Clarissa Benfield are appointed to three-year terms on the City of Tigard's
Budget Committee beginning January 1,2022 and ending on December 31,2024.
SECTION 2: Jake Schlack is appointed to a one-year term as an alternate member on the City of Tigard's
Budget Committee beginning January 1,2022 and ending on December 31,2022.
SECTION 3 : This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
