Topic Title Community Resiliency Plan (CRP) - Engagement
Topic Description The Community Resiliency Plan (CRP) is a comprehensive community and
science-based strategy to bring Tigard to carbon neutrality by 2035, reduce our
effect on natural resources and the environment, and help us adapt. It centers
people, especially historically excluded communities most vulnerable to climate
change. We'll discuss the engagement plan and timeline, including an advisory
group, community conversations and webinars. Our goal is to create a process
that is unifying, equitable and driven by facts.
What will CCE be Share ideas for the following prompts:
asked to do? 1. What community leaders and groups should be involved in the advisory
group and more broadly throughout the plan?
2. What are the most effective tools to engage community?
3. What key messages will help us further our goals?
4. What actions should the city be pursuing to address climate change?
The advisory group will work through technical and community input. The group
will combine learned and lived experience. A CCE member may be asked to
participate. The commitment would be 3-5 hours a month, includes meetings,
document review, and feedback.
Participate in upcoming engagement opportunities.
How will input We are in the early stage of our engagement strategy. Your input will guide the
inform this topic? development, and ultimately influence the policies and actions of the CRP.
