Seeking Public's Help in ATM Theft
The Tigard Police Department is asking for the public's help after an early-morning ATM
theft.
At 3:15 AM today (11/15/21), officers received several alarms coming from a freestanding
Chase ATM in the 12100 block of SW Scholls Ferry Road. Responding officers saw the ATM
had been ripped completely out of the ground.
At about the same time, witnesses at the Meadow Creek Apartments (12505 SW North
Dakota Street) reported a Ford F350 dually driving through the parking lot with an ATM
chained to the back of the truck. As the driver went through the parking lot, the ATM
caused extensive damage, ripping out speed bumps and causing curbs to break apart,
damaging at least one car.
When officers arrived, they found the Ford F350 ditched nearby, still running but with no
one inside. A K-9 track was conducted but the suspect(s) were not immediately located.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have surveillance or cell phone video related to
this case, information about the truck and/or it's occupant(s), or who witnessed any part of
this and has not yet spoken to an officer, to please email tis@tigard-or.gov or call 503-
718-COPS.
We'd also like to thank our partners at Beaverton Police and the Washington County
Sheriff's Office for their assistance.
