Regarding the documents that we need, I'm not sure that you understand our
request. Right now, we need the attached 'Request for Permit Action'form completed
and returned so that we can void all permits regarding the ADU as you have indicated in
your emails that you will not go through with the ADU project. All construction work
will continue under the 2006 building permit (MST2006-00163) as well as the electrical,
mechanical and plumbing permits (ELC2021-00217, MEC2021-00282 and PLM2021-
00180) that have already been applied for and are being revised to include all remodel
work.
The permits to be voided will be the land use case ADU2021-00015 and the building
permit case MST2021-00181 obtained for the ADU. Please complete the attached form
listing these two permit numbers and email the form to TigardBuildingPermits@tigard-
or.gov as soon as possible.

Thank you fir your follow up. I just spoke with Hardy Li, my engineer this morning. He is
wrapping up his summary report, will send to the city for review sometimes this week.
Regarding the paperwork I need to submit, as mentioned in the previous email, I was
told that once permit is issued, project needs to be finished in 6 months otherwise it has
to be renewed, so to avoid the expiration of the permit. I want to do the project one by

one. I hired an electrician, he will finish the electricity by end of this week, once the
electricity inspection is passed for the renovation, I will applying for the plumbing
permit and mechanical permits.

I spoke with inspector David Young today and below is a summary list of
what we need to move forward with your project:

• Construction Plans: Contact David by email at davidy@tigard-
or.gov or by phone at 503-207-3743 to schedule a meeting next
week for you to drop off the original construction plans for the
addition, permit MST2006-00163 so that permit technician staff
can make a copy of the plans and will return the original to
you. This original plan will be sufficient and no further revised
plans are required as David has confirmed that no additional
structural work is being performed in the area previously
designated as an ADU.
• Engineering: In addition to the construction plans, we will
need:
o (2)copies of truss details/engineering.
o (2)copies of floor joist/engineering.
o Complete the attached transmittal letter to be
submitted with the engineering items.
• Mechanical Permit: Please complete the attached mechanical
permit application to add additional mechanical items to
existing permit MEC2021-00282 and email to
TigardBuildingPermits@tigard-or.gov.
• Plumbing Permit: Please complete the attached plumbing
permit application to add additional plumbing fixtures to
existing permit PLM2021-00180 and email to
TigardBuildingPermits@tigard-or.gov.
• Request to Void Permit: Please complete the attached request
for permit action form to void the ADU building permit
MST2021-00181 and email to TigardBuildingPermits@tigard-
or.gov.

Good morning Allyson,
We just beed the the renovation permit to the existing permits. The
renovation session has not touched,the renovation blueprint is the
same except that there no stove. Per our conversation low voltage for
the microwave or counter top should be allowed.The MEC and PLM
permit could be revised to have the renovation added just like the
revision of ELC2021-00217.

MST2006-00163:
MEC 2021-00282: current permit, need to be revised to add renovation
ELC2021-00217: recently revised with contractor's permit added,which
includes the renovation electricity installation.
PLM2021-00180, need to be revised to add renovation

reflect what is being done (not showing
a 1-hour fire wall). Please keep in mind
that you are not allowed to run electrical
for a stove and a stove / range should not
be shown on your plan. Plans are not to
have any reference to fire walls or an ADU.
