Miller, Administrator Randy Volk, Superintendent Yvonne Turner, Secretary Visitors: Robert Wyffels, Tigard Resident Clarence Nicoll, Tigard Resident Gilbert Meigs, Economic and Engineering Services The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Denis Borman, at 7:30 p.m. Motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the last meeting. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made to approve payment of vouchers. Question was called for. There were no questions. Motion passed unanimously. The Chairman welcomed the visitors, Gilbert Meigs, Clarence Nicoli and Robert Wyffels. • Tigard Water District 5-90 Regular Meeting May 8, 1990 The next item was the Resolution adopting the Budget, making appropriations, levying taxes. Mr. Stronach made the motion and Mr. Bledsoe seconded the motion. Question was asked for. Mr. Bledsoe asked about the format of the resolution and Mr. Miller explained. Vote was taken and passed unanimously. Resolution to execute the Agreement between Ward-Henshaw and Tigard Water District was the next item. Motion was made and seconded. Motion carried unanimously. The presentation by Gilbert Meigs, of Economics and Engineering Services was the next item on the agenda. Mr. Meigs handed out a copy of the Water Supply and Distribution study to each person. He then explained the process which was used to reach his conclusions. Discussion followed. The Chairman thanked Mr. Meigs and suggested that after the Board has had time to go over the report perhaps Mr. Meigs could come back. Mr. Meigs concurred. Denis Borman asked for Other Business. Mr. Miller said he had 3 items. 1. 2.5 mg reservoir on 150th has passed all boring tests necessary to make it a valid reservoir site. 2. We are going to exercise our option on the 1.9 acre site for $65,000. 3. He asked the Chairman to address First Nighters by the Chamber about the award Tigard Water District received. He also informed the Board that the Metzger Water District is going to discuss the merger between Tigard Water District and Metzger Water District at their next meeting, and have said they will get back to him. The Chairman then made the announcement that at the Chamber of Commerce "First Nighter" dinner, Tigard Water District received the 1990 Community Design Award for Landscape & Maintenance, New Construction-Municipal. Motion was made and seconded to adjourn at 9:50 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
