NPO #7 Meeting Minutes
February 5, 1992
Meeting called to order: 7:00 p.m.
Present: Woolery, Cunningham, Dorsett, Gross, Howden
Absent: Blanchard, McGlinchy
• We met with NPO #3 to discuss creation of community commercial zone.
• Minutes of January 8, 1.992 stand as they are.
Motion by: Bill Gross, to adopt NPO #7's changes as written in the draft of February 5, 1992 for a
community commercial zone.
Seconded by Ed Howden. In favor: 4 Against: 1
Motion by: Lee Cunningham, to change locational criteria from 1/2 mile to 1 mile by amendment of
NPO #7's proposed draft for a community commercial zone.
Not seconded. Motion died for lack of a second.
Lee Cunningham does duly wish recorded that community commercial centers not be located
within a one mile radius i.e.,that they be required to locate at least one mile or more distance
from each other.
Motion by: Cal Woolery, to change to special limitations on uses - total commercial use shall not
exceed 25% gross floor area of the site on community commercial.
Seconded by Katy Dorsett. In favor: 5 Against: 0
Motion by: Katy Dorsett, to adopt changes by NPO #7 in our draft of February 5, 1992 for the
Neighborhood Commercial Zone.
Seconded by Bill Gross. In favor: 4 Against: 1
Motion by: Bill Gross, that total commercial use shall not exceed 25% gross floor area of the site on
Neighborhood Commercial Zone.
Seconded by Cal Woolery. In favor: 4 Against: 1
Lee Cunningham does duly wish recorded that I would not wish to preclude the necessities
of a tenant requiring more parking.
• Comprehensive Plan amendment to the Transportation Map discussion.
Motion by: Cal Woolery, to approve draft of NPO #7 of February 5, 1992 to redesignate this "new"
Scholls Ferry Road as a major collector.
Seconded by Bill Gross. In favor: 4 Against: 1
Lee Cunningham does also wish to duty note that if the motion to change site location criteria
from collector to arterial and the motion to downgrade the new Scholls Ferry Road to collector
both are in effect, then the commercial sites would be reduced.
