I see that you created a case DCC2021-00076 and sent a violation letter on 7/12/2021. Did you check it out and red tag them? This deck extension wraps around the house from the front porch to the back deck that is elevated one story above the daylight basement level. It has the deck boards and no railings. Yesterday we received plans for this same address where they are turning a 5-bedroom home into a 9-bedroom adult care home. The deck is not included on those plans. I will be contacting the applicant later today regarding other issues with their application and just wanted to know the status of this case and if you spoke with the owner. Thanks. It appears to be over 30" above grade and there are no current permits for this work. There is an open deck permit that was issued in 2013 to replace the existing deck and deck cover in the back of the house. This property was sold a few months ago, so I will expire the 2013 permit and you can research the current deck work and file a code compliance case. Thank you.
