Purpose: Check Bldg 5 footing subgrade
Outstanding Issues: Park Slope Failure
Upon arrival, I was informed that Curtis Heintz crew had excavated for footings of Bldg 5 (Lots 107-111), as
indicated on the attached site plan (see Photo 1). I was informed that subgrade is fill and I observed subgrade to
generally consist of brown silt with sand and minor gravel. I used a%'0 steel foundation probe to evaluate the -
relative density of material. Resulting penetrations indicated the subgrade to be generally stiff. I was informed that
—1"2"of"-0 crushed rock is to be placed and compacted in footings.
Based on observations and probing, it is our opinion that the subgrade observed today, as indicated on the attached
site plan, has been prepared in general accordance with our geotechnical recommendations.
