GDI Project........................._................._.........:........_Polygon-129-03......._............_....._._._..._....................._..................................._Prepared.._By:...... ..... ` Andrew Christiano
Project Name: River Terrace East Date: 4/21/20 •
Location: SW Scholls Ferry& Roy Rogers, Bvrtn. Report#: 311
Arrival: I 1000 Departure: i 1100
Weather: Light Rain, 50s Permit#: I TBD
Site Visit Requested By: Rob Howser(TM) Met With (on site): Rob Howser
Purpose: Observe Lot 228 Subgrade
Outstanding Issues:
•
Upon arrival, I was informed by Rob (TM) that crew had prepared subgrade for building within lot 228. Subgrade was
covered with a thin layer of crushed rock with mixed in asphalt and cement chunks. The subgrade generally
consisted of light brown silt or clay with occasional anthropogenic plastics such as trashbags or tarps. Using a%z"
diameter steel foundation rod, I probed the subgrade. Resistance to penetration indicated stiff subgrade conditions
with one exception noted on the map and marked in pink paint on the site.
I observed that one section of the subgrade in the NE corner was soft. We recommend over-excavating enough to
place a 6" crushed rock pad.
Based on our observations and probing, it is our opinion lot 228 subgrade observed today, expect for the soft spot
noted, have been prepared in general accordance with project requirements and our geotechnical recommendations.
