Project Name: River Terrace East No. 3 -Phase 2 Date: 3/30/21
Location: 16973 SW Friendly Ln,Tigard,OR Report#: 27
Arrival: 0945 Departure: 1015
Weather: Overcast, 40's Permit#:
Site Visit Requested By: Adrian (Taylor Morrison) Met With (on site): Adrian (Phone)
Purpose: Evaluate subgrade for Lots 265-269
Outstanding Issues:
On arrival, Adrian (Taylor Morrison) informed me that crews had cut subgrade to finished elevations within Lots 265-
269, as shown on the attached site plan. I observed that crews had placed —1-2" of crushed rock over subgrade. I
observed subgrade to consist of brown silt(excavation sidewalls). Using a%"foundation probe I evaluated the
relative consistency of the subgrade through crushed rock section. Resulting penetrations indicated generally stiff
subgrade conditions.
Based on our observations and probing it is our opinion that the subgrade observed today, in areas observed today,
has been prepared in general accordance with our geotechnical recommendations.

Site Visit Requested By: Adrian (Taylor Morrison) Met With (on site): Adrian (Phone)
Purpose: Evaluate Slab Base within lots 265-269
Outstanding Issues:
Upon arrival, I was informed by Adrian (Taylor Morrison)that onsite earthwork crew had prepared the slab base
section for the living spaces within lots 265-269. I was informed that base section was approx. 24in thick and
consisted of recycled concrete sourced from Tigard Sand &Gravel. Compaction efforts were completed utilizing a
large walk behind plate compactor. Using a Troxler 3430 nuclear density gauge, I evaluated the compaction of the
fill and compared the results against a lab produce proctor value of 1 19.3pcf 14.3-precent optimum moisture
content. Initial testing did not meet our compaction recommendations of 95%compaction of maximum dry density
value. We recommended moisture conditioning the material and applying additional compaction efforts. After re-
compaction efforts slab base section met our recommendations. I observed the pin resistance (number of blows on
a%"diameter steel pin with a 6Ib hammer to drive the pin approx. 12in into the material)to indicated densely
compacted material.
Based on our observations, density testing, and pin resistance it is our opinion that the slab base section observed
today, in areas observed today, has been prepared in general accordance with our geotechnical recommendations.
