Elizabeth,
The foundation wall can be increased to a 5'or 6' tall wall and keep the same footing size if the interior grade is brought
up too such that the max unbalanced fill remains at 4'-0". Let me know if that won't be possible and if you'll have a wall
with 5-6' of unbalanced fill;this will make the footing increase to a 8" (deep)x 36" (wide).
We have been noting on plan and increasing the stud spec to require#2 grade studs when the framed walls exceed 9'.
That must not have been coordinated properly with detail 11 on the below lot. I will create a new detail 11 that captures
the dual spec depending on the wall height and shows the max foundation wall height allowing for a 6'tall wall.
Please confirm that the above sounds good and I can begin executing the needed changes and required letter.

Good Morning Nick, I know that Nick M is in MSP today,we have a couple of issues.
1. we need confirmation that we can increase the foundation wall on to 5'w/o changing the rebar on lot 14
(68160014).—this is our urgent item
2. we need an engineering letter with a detail allowing us to increase the foundation wall to 5',and the framed
wall to 7'for lot 14.—Re: Detail 11.
3. We need to revise the detail for future lots to allow for a 6'foundation wall with up to a 10'framed wall—if you
look at lot 10(68160010)the plan clearly shows a framed wall taller than 6' but this same detail 11—with of 4'
foundation wall and 6'framed wall is called out.
Let me know if you have any questions.—an ok to proceed with taller foundation wall is requested.Thanks
