Summer Reading for All Ages Begins June 1 at the Tigard Public
Library!
Summer Reading begins Tuesday, June 1 for kids, teens, and adults! Sign up as a family to read
together and earn rewards all summer. Everyone gets a free book,just for singing up!
Summer Reading for Kids & Teens:
Visit the library to pick-up your summer reading log and a free book between Tuesday, June 1 and
Saturday, July 31, then set your goal and read whatever you choose!
Bring your completed log back to the library between Thursday, July 15 and Tuesday,August 31 to
pick out a free book of your choice!

Summer Reading for Adults:
By signing up, you get a free book donated by the Friends of the Tigard Library and you'll be entered
in the countywide weekly drawings for a chance to win more prizes. You'll also receive weekly emails
with book suggestions and other fun things. Adults can sign up online, but make sure to visit the library
to get your free book!
As you read, watch, or listen this summer, let us know what you think by completing raffle tickets.
Return the completed tickets to the Adult Reference Desk throughout the summer to be entered to win
weekly drawings for gift certificates to local Tigard businesses!
Prize drawings for adults will take place weekly between June 1 and August 31.
Tigard Public Library's Summer Reading Program is made possible by the
Ready to Read Grant and Friends of the Tigard Public Library.

Programs & Resources for All
Story Time is back on Facebook Live Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. or Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. We'll have
special Pride Month Facebook Live Story Times on Sunday, June 6 at 2:30 p.m. and Wednesday,
June 23 at 6:30 p.m. with stories and fun celebrating the LGBTQ+ community!
You can still pick up a Take & Make bag for preschoolers, kids, teens, and adults! Just visit the library
during our in-building service hours or Library Takeout. New projects will appear by the 1st and the
15th of the month. Limit one craft per person every two weeks.
You can still choose between in-building services and no-contact Library
Takeout!
Monday-Thursday
• No-Contact Library Takeout: noon-2 p.m.
• In-Building Service: 2-6 p.m.
Friday-Saturday
• In-Building Service: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The Power of Plants!
Starting Monday, June 21, while supplies last
Pick up Mondays-Thursdays noon-6 p.m.,

Celebrate the power of plants with a video and a take-home
science experiment bag from the University of Oregon's Museum of
Natural and Cultural History! Watch the video on our YouTube
channel beginning Monday, June 21, and pick up an accompanying
bag of activities during library open hours while supplies last.

Teen Felted Pizza Party_
Friday, June 1814-5:30 p.m.
Ages 14-18
Hey teens, it's been a long school year. Let's kick-off the summer
with a virtual pizza party! We will provide materials for you to make
your own needle-felted pizza slices with the guidance of local artist
LeBrie Rich. Remember, though it's 100% gluten free, this food's
- for looking, not for eating. Register by June 15 to pick up supplies
while they last.

Summer Teen Volunteering is back for
Summer 2021!
Teens between the ages of 12 and 18 are welcome to volunteer
with the library. Volunteer opportunities can be completed remotely
and on the volunteer's own time. For more information, visit the
